Dr. Abdel-Karim Khawaldeh
President, Jordanian Society for Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
Dear colleagues and partners,
On behalf of the Jordanian Society of Family Medicine, it is my great pleasure to welcome you and invite you to participate in the 16th International Conference of the Jordanian Society of Family Medicine, taking place on 7th–9th October 2026 at Signia by Hilton, Amman, Jordan.
This year's theme, "Compassionate Care in a Digital World," reflects the evolving nature of our profession. As family physicians, we stand at the intersection of technology and human connection — embracing the tools of artificial intelligence and digital health while remaining firmly rooted in the values that define our specialty: empathy, continuity, and trust.
Our scientific program brings together leading experts to explore the topics shaping the future of primary care, from chronic disease management and women's and child health, to AI in primary care, mental health, geriatric care, and preparedness for emerging epidemics. Together, we will examine how family medicine can continue to lead in delivering holistic, patient-centered care in an increasingly digital healthcare landscape.
This conference is also an invaluable opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the region and beyond, to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and build partnerships that strengthen our collective mission of advancing primary healthcare. Our continued partnership with WONCA East Mediterranean further reinforces this shared vision of excellence in family medicine across the region.
I extend my sincere gratitude to H.E. the Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Bdour, for his patronage, and to all our partners and supporters who make this event possible.
I look forward to welcoming you in Amman this October, for what promises to be an inspiring and enriching congress.
Warm regards,
Dr. Suha Khalifa
